The holidays, birthdays, and so much more

Ok so as everyone may already know December is a BIG month for us in the De La Cruz family. It starts off with my stepmoms birthday then on the 21st its Maxito's birthday, the 23rd is my birthday, 24th christmas eve with my mom and sisters, 25th with my dad and stepmom and finally 30th is my dad's birthday. WOW! I can't even believe I made it out of December with money still left in our accounts lol. I posted a bunch of pictures of the kids what they got as presents for Christmas and birthdays. We wanted to thank our wonderful family who are all such a blessing to us. Thanks for the wonderful help throughout the year. Thanks for the many prayers. We love you guys and wish you all the best for 2009. Now for the moment you've all been waiting for the pictures...

photo shoot

My biggest joy is capturing moments on film or print of Max and Isabella. They grow up so fast. I guess snapping pictures to me is like freezing a moment in time and when I get older I can go back to that picture and remember exactly what was going on that day. Time is my enemy...I wish there were more minutes in an hour, hours in a day, days in a month and months in a year.

De La Cruz Family Reunion

In November we went to Hermosillo, MX to visit Max's family and for their family reunion. It was a lot of fun and the kids got to meet their mama Gina (max's grandmother). Ok so that's the nice cute story but what I left out was that a couple week prior to going people that had family in Mexico were telling Max that it was not a good time to travel there due to the gangs and drug cartels. Max was scared and kept saying to postpone the trip until things got better. However, Mama Gina's health was deteriorating so that was what was pushing us to go. I decided to go to my source (Norah) to find out how bad things really were. Norah said that as long as we don't drive around at night we should be fine. So we finally decided to go and on our way up we went through 2 check points and saw a couple of federalies with their really big guns. Besides the fact that I was scared out of my mind that I was going to get shot it was a really good trip. I am also glad I got to see my cousin Yamilito and his wife and baby. Here are some pictures....
